Coppell ISD and More Potential School Closures: A Warning for CFBISD

Coppell ISD is once again facing the painful possibility of closing schools. After protests and packed board meetings last year when an elementary school was shut down, Interim Superintendent Doug Williams now says the district may need to close one, maybe even two more campuses.
This is exactly what we want to prevent in CFBISD. Our families deserve transparency, and a seat at the table when life-changing decisions about our schools are made. School closures don’t just impact students. They affect neighborhoods, property values, and the entire community for decades.
What can we do? Stay engaged: Attend/watch board meetings. Ask questions. Watch for red flags before the board makes decisions behind our backs.
